Starting at midnight from Banyuwangi, the journey to Paltuding marks the beginning of an adventure to one of Indonesia's most iconic craters. The challenging climb is rewarded upon reaching the summit, where the view of Ijen's blue crater combined with the glow of the rising sun creates an unforgettable, magical atmosphere. Billowing sulfur fumes and the panoramic views of the mountains in the distance add to the majesty of this place. After enjoying the natural beauty from above, the descent back to Paltuding is the perfect conclusion to this dawn adventure in the heart of Banyuwangi.
